GAMMA Investing LLC Expands Stake in iShares MSCI EAFE ETF
In a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), GAMMA Investing LLC announced a significant increase in its holdings of the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF (NYSEARCA:EFA). During the third quarter, the firm boosted its position by 18.4%, bringing its total shares to 3,798 following the acquisition of an additional 590 shares.
The value of GAMMA Investing LLC’s stake in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF reached approximately $318,000 at the end of the most recent quarter, showcasing the firm’s commitment to investing in this exchange-traded fund.
Other institutional investors have also been active in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF. Notably, JPMorgan Chase & Co. raised its holdings in the ETF by 17.6% in the first quarter. After acquiring an additional 4,116,234 shares, JPMorgan now controls 27,440,338 shares, valued at around $2.19 billion.
Meanwhile, Envestnet Asset Management Inc. increased its stake in the ETF by 33.1% during the second quarter, acquiring 2,179,857 additional shares for a total of 8,765,455 shares valued at $686.6 million. Natixis Advisors LLC made headlines with a remarkable 764.7% increase during the same quarter, adding 1,711,236 shares to reach a total of 1,935,011 shares worth about $151.6 million.
TD Asset Management Inc. and Toronto Dominion Bank also expanded their holdings in the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF, with increases of 31.0% and 109.4%, respectively, during the second quarter. Together, these institutional investments highlight a strong interest in the fund, with about 79.80% of its shares owned by institutional players.

As of the last trading session, the iShares MSCI EAFE ETF opened at $81.88. The fund has demonstrated consistent performance, with a 50-day moving average of $81.04 and a 200-day moving average of $79.98. It has experienced fluctuations, recording a 52-week low of $65.68 and a high of $84.56.
