PFG Investments LLC Boosts Stake in iShares Core S&P 500 ETF

PFG Investments LLC has increased its investment in the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:IVV) by 4.1% during the third quarter of this year. This information comes from their latest Form 13F filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Following this increase, PFG Investments now holds a total of 2,589 shares, having acquired an additional 101 shares during the period.

As of the end of the most recent reporting period, the value of PFG Investments LLC's holdings in the ETF amounted to approximately $1,493,000.

Several other hedge funds have also adjusted their positions in the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF recently. For instance, Envestnet Asset Management Inc. raised its stake by 21.3% in the second quarter, bringing its total to 36,046,952 shares valued at about $19.73 billion after acquiring 6,319,531 shares.

Similarly, Marshall Wace LLP increased its holdings by 34.5% in the second quarter, resulting in ownership of 22,513,000 shares worth approximately $12.32 billion after purchasing 5,774,400 additional shares. Creative Planning also increased its stake slightly by 1.2% during the third quarter, owning 21,368,471 shares valued at around $12.33 billion after purchasing an extra 257,499 shares.

JPMorgan Chase & Co. made a significant boost to its holdings by 60.7% in the first quarter, owning 20,161,417 shares worth about $10.6 billion after acquiring 7,615,287 shares. Lastly, Bank of New York Mellon Corp increased their position by 1.8% in the second quarter, now holding 13,683,639 shares valued at approximately $7.49 billion after buying an additional 237,585 shares.

Its fifty-day moving average stands at $570.04, while its 200-day moving average is $547.67. Over the past year, the ETF has experienced a low of $411.02 and a high of $588.93.
