Rhumbline Advisers Increases Stake in iShares TIPS Bond ETF

On February 19, 2025, it was reported that Rhumbline Advisers has expanded its holdings in the iShares TIPS Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:TIP) by 0.5% during the fourth quarter of the previous year. As per the latest filing with the SEC, Rhumbline now holds a total of 288,596 shares of the ETF after acquiring an additional 1,459 shares during this period. This investment positions Rhumbline’s ownership at approximately 0.17% of the iShares TIPS Bond ETF, which is valued at $30,750,000.

In addition to Rhumbline, several other hedge funds have recently adjusted their positions in the iShares TIPS Bond ETF. Eastern Bank initiated a new investment in the ETF valued at about $37,000 in the third quarter. Furthermore, Strategic Investment Solutions Inc. IL significantly increased its shareholding by 102.0% in the same quarter, bringing its total to 404 shares worth $45,000 after purchasing an additional 204 shares. Other notable movements include GPS Wealth Strategies Group LLC, which raised its stake by 26.0% in the fourth quarter, and Eagle Bay Advisors LLC, which also acquired a new position valued at $96,000 during the same timeframe. Centaurus Financial Inc. also bought a new stake valued at $169,000 in the third quarter.

The iShares TIPS Bond ETF opened at $108.26 on Wednesday. It has experienced a one-year low of $104.67 and a one-year high of $111.06. As of now, the ETF boasts a 50-day moving average of $107.37 and a 200-day moving average of $108.42. The fund has a total market capitalization of $18.78 billion, a price-to-earnings ratio of 11.86, and a beta of 0.09, indicating low volatility relative to the market.
